Week 8 Assessment
Recent Team Meetings:
- Tuesday, Oct. 16th: tweaked game mechanics; developed new challenges to alter the difficulty of later levels to ensure the challenge/skill ratio stays balanced; assigned duties to team
Week 7 Accomplishments:
- Added new challenges to later levels to ensure game does not become too easy for the player as they become more skilled
- Assigned themes to each of the game areas, reflecting the games story. The entire game involves an ancient Observatory that existed as an independent city, so each section of the game world (each a part of the Observatory) reflects areas such as residential, agricultural, industrial
- Fleshed out the story to make up for plot-holes and weak points
- Assigned team duties: Daniel - provide sample music; Lawson - test prototype functionality; Sammpa - confirm designs for vehicles, develop landscape drawings for new game area themes; Matt - design reward system, level completion values; Cody - tweak story, design and plan cinematic elements
Week 9 Goals:
- Begin production on art/sound assests
- Test, test, test the prototype
- Begin implementing front-end interface with gameplay
- Start small, work on the basics first
